FILM PRACTISE RUN THROUGH

Image
Practise Run-through This video was filmed to show what 75% film was about in a simple and clear perspective without any props except the phone. We did this trial run as it gave us ideas to add and see the areas where room was improvement and visual clue to how the film would play out. We need to however work further on our script as it was clear our script was going to be the  most important to making our film realistic and creating tension.Furthermore, when filming inside the vehicle, the positioning is vital into making it look authentic and a realistic due to the  conversation which is occurring between the passenger and the driver which cannot be done in the video above

HOW OUR PROPS FIT INTO OUR SUB GENRE GROUP OF OUR FILM

Image
Props Our sub genre for our thriller film is comes under psychological and the props we will be using are the following: Car, bottled water, leather gloves, a shovel and a fake id card. furthermore we will use some fluid or solid to add to the water to make it seemed poisoned but this will probably be decided on the day of the shoot The motor vehicle in which we will use to film most of our movie with will be a Nissan note which is car that some Uber drivers actually use so it will suggest to the audience that this film is like a real life scenario In addition we will be using bottled water which during the part where the girl enters the taxi, the driver will put something that is deemed poisonous to give the girl the major side effects so he able to complete his task of being a psychopathy  We will also be using leather gloves for the taxi driver so he doesn't leave his finger print behind on the car or shovel which shows he well thought out his plan and th

FEEDBACK FROM OUR PREZI FOR OUR FILM

Here we gathered  negative and positive comments on our Prezi and how we can make slight amendments to improve the overall presentation.

FEEDBACK FROM EXTERNAL STUDENTS

Image
Judging from the feedback that I gathered from external students that are not in my media class I noticed that everyone believed the idea can work and that we have a very interested plot. It is always good to get constructive criticism and we got that from two of the students. This was that they didn't think the taxi driver just giving her her water was a good idea and would be alot better if we had a close up of the driver putting a pill in the drink to show he is going to poison her before she gets in the Uber taxi. This means that we have used our feedback well and will hopefully improve our thriller film. Overall I was very impressed and happy with the feedback as it seemed we have got the idea and plot spot on as the students were very impressed. From this we learnt that men are very more likely to watch the movie if the female actress is attractive, therefore we have made our actress attractive.  From this pie chart we are confident that people like our movie

OUR ACTORS FIT INTO THE THRILLER SUB-GENRE

Image
Analyzing the actors Simon Wood: Taxi Driver Our actor fits into thriller sub-genre; psychological because he has been diagnosed with a mental illness and he is a psychopath, who is a serial killer and enjoys the thought, sensation and the feeling of killing people in this specific way.  Actors similar in films: Kevin Spacey - Se7en. in the film se7en, they both play as murders and specifically serial killers who have an addiction for killing and get a kick and adrenaline out of it Holly Gibbs: Victim  This actress fits into our thriller sub-genre of psychological because she is a young vulnerable girl who gets herself caught up in a nightmare. She is unfortunate as she orders a cab and gets in a car with a psychotic man who is a serial killer, but she doesn't know this.  Actresses Similar in films:  Maggie Grace from taken is a comparable actress due to the role she plays in taken 1 where she gets kidnapped by eastern European men in a busy  capital

STORYBOARD EVALUTATION

Image
Storyboard evaluation Overall what what our storyboard shows is that I think it presents a clear shot by shot representation of our film which relates to modern day scenarios of serious taxi driving and passenger incidents. although the pictures may not be the most artistic they give a simple view of what is going to occur in each shot. As well as this the short description for each shot is simple and  clear and easy to understand.. However the story board which does present our movie, it may end in slight changes to the actual filming to make the filming easier and make the overall viewing performance better.
