SHOOT DAY

On the first Morning of shooting, were we very lucky to have nice bright blue sky weather, however due to the strong sunlight the filming was effecting due to the number of shadows created by people and camera equipment but on a whole I think we managed it well.
Furthermore, the ability to use a drone to film some birds eye shots was another bonus as it added another dimension towards our movie and the viewers perspective.

Unexpectedly when filming  we did however come across a problem which was the ride of the vehicle uses in the filming. Due to hard suspension some film was jigging about and quite bumpy which did effect our progress but does mean we have to work extra harder to make the film look professional and get the best features in to add to the 'horror' themed effect.

Another problem that occurred on the morning of the filming was the number of vehicles that passed us in our location. This meant filming specific parts look longer then expected and more edited is going to have be done to cut them out

On the plus though, we filmed a lot of in car shots which are very useful so we can choose the best ones for the greatest effect and we also captured some brilliant exterior shots of the taxi driver in the boot and messing around with the number plate as well as some in car driving shots.

Furthermore we were also able to shoot a majority of shots without the use of ur female actor and just  using our taxi driver with the props that we provided as well as get a variety of shots at different angles which will help us when it comes to editing to try and give the film a better edge and effect

Another drawback in the morning was the sound which will have to be heavily edited due to loud background noises of building, passing cars and emergency service sirens and especially the heavy wind echo.

From a personal perspective, i think i performed well in executing solid camera shots and taking responsibility for harder ones my teammates were less forthcoming with. I also filmed 95% of the in car shots of driving round and and wide variety of close ups.

Finally from a teams point of view we filmed well and co-operated with each other to a point where we knew each individuals capability.

Overall I was personally pleased with the mornings performance and attitude towards getting the job done correctly and more importantly well.

Come the afternoon, we had both actress and actor to complete our film day and get our most important shots which included our script and stage directions.

Our costumes on the actor were exactly the same for continuity and our actress was dressed in the appropriate outfit to fulfil her characters stereotypical image.

We also had to use our some props with our actress (water bottle, leather gloves, electric blue Nissan Note) as some camera important camera shots were not filmed in the mornings outing

The Mise en Scene of Kingsbury high street where part of our film took place was very difficult as there lots of passing traffic, public walking by and loud distracting noises. This mean we were regularly taking shot after shot of the same one to get it perfect due to the many implication.
later on when in the empty school car park, the quiet and secluded area was an added bonus as it acted as a really stereotypical 'horror film' location.

Sound was also an issue in the location of Kingsbury but not a problem in the school carpark. In Kingsbury the usual sounds of passing people an loud vehicles as well as 2 very low airplanes above us

Overall from the two days both actor and actress performed extremely well to the tasks we gave them and delivered perfectly by not complaining and just getting on with what they had to do. Simon wood our actor had a brilliant consistent eastern european accent and outstanding facial emotions where as  Demi Crook Our actress could not of performed better with her full commitment by giving her full potential towards our film to make it a great spectacle to watch. i could not be happier with the people we chose to perform in our 2-3 minute horror film.

Luckily enough, as it was coming to end of the day and the sun started to set quite early, we had no problem at all with the lighting however we will have to compare to it the mornings filming due to the completely different lighting and change the tint through editing slightly to make it more consistent.

As an individual, I work well by taking full control on who should be doing what which worked well as know one got in each other way and we each help one another for a better positive out come. i was very happy with the performance myself and everybody else put in to gather to best possible footage we could.

Overall the day went very smoothly and i think we have a very good footage to edit and make a great short horror movie
