ANALYSIS OF FILM POSTERS 5 (PULP FICTION)

PULP FICTION: Pulp Fiction many stand out colours and "sexy" grab the attention of the audience quite rapidly for many reasons. Firstly the colours represent and present many features of what this film could be about. The colour red is the colour of blood, death and defeat which may link to death and violence in this film. This is proven when the use of the gun in the poster is visible, strengthening the possibility of recurring  violence.
The list of actors in yellow is eye catching to the public. Famous actors add credibility to the film and make is more popular as well as a well known film director who his known for his particular types of movies in the case Quentin Tarantino
The price tag in the corner of the film poster shows the film is cheap which entices the public in to buy tickets for the film. Another simple way of persuading the audience to watch the film is the large bold yellow text which really stands out from the rest of the poster.
Finally the seductive dress demonstrates typical codes and conventions of her character which attracts the male gaze. the cigarette and dark lighting around her conveys typical elements of film noir.

This is why we have gone for the black and white style to give them that authentic image. We have gone for this type of theme throughout all our products including the music video and the digipak. We wanted the star image to come across on the website showing they are a simple band who just want to produce good music for their fans. As well as not having abstract colours to draw in fans as we focused on the music side of our band to increase our fanbase.  Our front page is different to many other bands website similar to ours. We wanted a big bold photo of our band to draw the attention of the audience to the band so they become more recognisable and well known. SHOOT DAY

On the first Morning of shooting, were we very lucky to have nice bright blue sky weather, however due to the strong sunlight the filming was effecting due to the number of shadows created by people and camera equipment but on a whole I think we managed it well. Furthermore, the ability to use a drone to film some birds eye shots was another bonus as it added another dimension towards our movie and the viewers perspective. Unexpectedly when filming  we did however come across a problem which was the ride of the vehicle uses in the filming. Due to hard suspension some film was jigging about and quite bumpy which did effect our progress but does mean we have to work extra harder to make the film look professional and get the best features in to add to the 'horror' themed effect.
