ACCOUNT OF EDITING PART 2

Further to part one of editing, in our introduction of the instrumental, we had to fill in some of the gaps that were missing footage  to complete the sequence and the story. this was carried out by filling it with footage of the drummer and the singer practising the lyrics by the boot of the car and where as the guitarist is seen tuning his car in in the front of the car symbolising the relationship differences between the band members.

The next stage was completing the end section of the video where the lead singer is seen taking off his jacket where he really feels at one with the music. as well as this there are also cut shots where to band performing the song in the studio with the lyrics and speech fitted together in time which  also took a bit more time then originally thought.

Another shot which had to be included was implementing the footage of the singer and guitarist playing Fifa and enjoying there times as a friends and enjoying life however this shot required cutting due to shadows of the cameraman and a can of coke in the shot left by the lead singer on the side. 







Afterwards I tackled editing the shots of the lead member singer on his own in an empty street singing while walking towards the camera. This shot consisted of being quite blurry which meant i had to adopt to the use of videos on youTube to learn how to get rid of it and  implement an effect to resolve the problem.

OUR BAND WEBSITE

This is why we have gone for the black and white style to give them that authentic image. We have gone for this type of theme throughout all our products including the music video and the digipak. We wanted the star image to come across on the website showing they are a simple band who just want to produce good music for their fans. As well as not having abstract colours to draw in fans as we focused on the music side of our band to increase our fanbase.  Our front page is different to many other bands website similar to ours. We wanted a big bold photo of our band to draw the attention of the audience to the band so they become more recognisable and well known. SHOOT DAY

On the first Morning of shooting, were we very lucky to have nice bright blue sky weather, however due to the strong sunlight the filming was effecting due to the number of shadows created by people and camera equipment but on a whole I think we managed it well. Furthermore, the ability to use a drone to film some birds eye shots was another bonus as it added another dimension towards our movie and the viewers perspective. Unexpectedly when filming  we did however come across a problem which was the ride of the vehicle uses in the filming. Due to hard suspension some film was jigging about and quite bumpy which did effect our progress but does mean we have to work extra harder to make the film look professional and get the best features in to add to the 'horror' themed effect.
