APPLYING NARRATIVES TO MUSIC VIDEOS

Todorov: Narratives have 5 structures as follows

Equilibrium- Normality at the beginning
Beyonce and her husband are a normal couple who are getting ready to go to work
Disruption- disruption from the normality
By them going off to work it allows them to mix with other men and women 
Acknowledgement -Understanding that a problem has occurred 
when we the male police offer looking at beyonce and dancing with him while he husband watches is the moment the realtionship goes up in the air
Attempt to restore-  The characters try to resolve their problems and move on
they have a conversation where trhe male and female lives swap back to normal to show the male is actually have an affair
New Equilibrium- Everything is resolved but the characters  world is a slightly different place
Everything goes back to normal showing the male police officer having another relationship

Hero- Beyonce is the hero as her partner is going through an affair and she has done nothing wrong. we know this through the close ups and the amount of camera time focuses on her
Villain-Beyonce husband is the villain. He is a typical black guy cheating on his wife
Helper- Male police officer is a white man having the affair with Beyonce who is showing the realisation of what is actually occurring with her husband and his secret lover. He is stereotypical males having a relationship with a married women at work
Donor- The donor is the female that Beyonces husband is actually having an affair with which is shown at the end of the music video.

OUR BAND WEBSITE

This is why we have gone for the black and white style to give them that authentic image. We have gone for this type of theme throughout all our products including the music video and the digipak. We wanted the star image to come across on the website showing they are a simple band who just want to produce good music for their fans. As well as not having abstract colours to draw in fans as we focused on the music side of our band to increase our fanbase.  Our front page is different to many other bands website similar to ours. We wanted a big bold photo of our band to draw the attention of the audience to the band so they become more recognisable and well known. SHOOT DAY

On the first Morning of shooting, were we very lucky to have nice bright blue sky weather, however due to the strong sunlight the filming was effecting due to the number of shadows created by people and camera equipment but on a whole I think we managed it well. Furthermore, the ability to use a drone to film some birds eye shots was another bonus as it added another dimension towards our movie and the viewers perspective. Unexpectedly when filming  we did however come across a problem which was the ride of the vehicle uses in the filming. Due to hard suspension some film was jigging about and quite bumpy which did effect our progress but does mean we have to work extra harder to make the film look professional and get the best features in to add to the 'horror' themed effect.
