ANALYSING DATA FOR TARGET AUDIENCE RELATING TO MY FILM

Film 1: Gone Baby Gone


From the votes casted, we can see from this film that overall more men enjoyed this film especially from the category 18-29. This is probably due to the attractive female character involved in the film which is why this film is predominantly voted for by men and more importantly the young age.


Film 2 : Taken 

This film is totally dominated by male voters due to the film including a lot of attractive women especially a sex trafficking scene in the film but also the involvement of car chases and gun and knife crime violence making the whole film more enjoyable


Film 3: The Purge 
From this chart we can see that due to this film not including an attractive female characters the male votes have dropped whereas the females have increased but not dramatically and this film suits more of the younger viewer more because of the shear brutality  and violence throughout the whole film


Overall

What i have learnt then from these films is that for a majority audience and a large viewing we need to included an attractive female as one of our characters due to the fact that this is probably the selling point to most male viewers. This also however needs to be complimented with violence and killing to win over some other viewers who prefer this kind of genre. the film also needs to be seen as something that can occur in real life, not something fictional so we will try and make our film something relating to real life and nothing not to far fetched and hope it attracts all sorts of different ages and genders.

This is why we have gone for the black and white style to give them that authentic image. We have gone for this type of theme throughout all our products including the music video and the digipak. We wanted the star image to come across on the website showing they are a simple band who just want to produce good music for their fans. As well as not having abstract colours to draw in fans as we focused on the music side of our band to increase our fanbase.  Our front page is different to many other bands website similar to ours. We wanted a big bold photo of our band to draw the attention of the audience to the band so they become more recognisable and well known. SHOOT DAY

On the first Morning of shooting, were we very lucky to have nice bright blue sky weather, however due to the strong sunlight the filming was effecting due to the number of shadows created by people and camera equipment but on a whole I think we managed it well. Furthermore, the ability to use a drone to film some birds eye shots was another bonus as it added another dimension towards our movie and the viewers perspective. Unexpectedly when filming  we did however come across a problem which was the ride of the vehicle uses in the filming. Due to hard suspension some film was jigging about and quite bumpy which did effect our progress but does mean we have to work extra harder to make the film look professional and get the best features in to add to the 'horror' themed effect.
